his life time – ‘Be A Man’. Boys are often told – Stop acting like ‘Mama’s boy
or ‘Don’t be a Sissy’. Boys are asked to separate Heart from Head. In men there is
massive repression of emotions that make us human.

Billfold – Economic Success
All these
lies are the cause of all major social problems. Empathy cannot arise in a
person who has blocked / repressed emotions. Lack of empathy leads to all kind
of violence and psychopathic / sociopathic behavior. 80% of Men suffer from A-lexi-thymia – Inability
to put emotions and feelings into words. Men do not know how to enter into
meaningful relationships.
Self
understanding is critical to understanding others.
Need to Redefine and Reframe what it means to be a Man
The speaker gives a new definition of Masculinity or
rather of Humanity in which there is no distinction between men and women
Two Criteria
of a ‘whole hearted life’
1. Relationships
– To love and to be loved
2. Living for a
Cause – Make the world a better place
Give the boys
affirmations and validations for all their emotions. Reconnecting heart and
head is needed to piece together broken men.
