पारै पहुँची नाव ज्यौं, मिलिके बिछुरी जाहिं॥

कबीरदास जी कहते हैं कि न तो हम किसी के हैं, न कोई हमारा। जैसे नाव में बैठे लोग किनारे पर पहुँचते ही एक-दूसरे से बिछुड़ जाते हैं, वैसे ही मोह-माया का यह बंधन क्षणिक होता है। एक-न-एक दिन सभी को बिछड़ना है।

कमलिनी जल में रहती है और जिसके प्रकाश से वह खिलती है उसका वह प्रेमी दूर आकाश में रहता है; लेकिन प्रेमियों के बीच यह दूरी कोई मायने नहीं रखती। सच्चा प्रेम आत्मिक होता है, जो सदा पास रहता है।
