रहीम कहते हैं कि सब जानते हैं, लक्ष्मी चंचल होती है। यह कहीं स्थायी नहीं ठहरती। आखिर यह बुजुर्ग विष्णु भगवान् की नवयौवना वधू है, फिर एक स्थान पर कैसे ठहर सकती है। फिर भी कुछ लोग इसे अपनी मान बैठते हैं और झूठे मोह में फँसे रहते हैं।

या घर याही रीति है, इक आवत इक जात॥
